Oh man... I want to go back to London NOW.
I arrived at Gare du Nord at 6 am, and waited about ten minutes before FINALLY seeing some people (Fred, Paul), so I went to go get Alexandre with Paul (while carrying Alex's birthday cake...), and found Roch, Shazmeen and Anna in the metro. The six of us got out of the metro station by going through the luggage door, seeing as there was no exit... when we went back upstairs we saw most of the Seconde and Première students, and at about 6:35 am everyone was there. The 43 of us checked in (17 Première students, 21 Seconde students, 4 teachers and 1 old student), and got in the train which left at 7:16. From then on, starts the crazy adventures of 43 Balzac people...
Once we got in London, we walked to the Imperial War Museum, where we lost the teachers for a good half hour before finding them again, and going through exhibitions such as the First and Second World Wars (with the awful smell of trenches), and the Crimes Against Humanity exhibition...
Leaving at 12:15, we walked to the Modern Tate Museum by the Thames River, seeing some people tap dancing, singing, playing music, or anything to get a bit of change and attract tourists. Once we arrived there at 1:30, we took a 30-minute break for Lunch, and we went inside, then realized that we forgot Julia Seder at the Imperial War museum. (Vive nous xD) She joined us a bit later, and some of us saw the big slides inside the museum, but then found out that we had to book tickets to go on them at 5:00 pm. Camille, Raphaële, Shazmeen, Alexandre, Roch and I went outside for an hour in the sun, talking, listening to music, while I was writing the article about this trip.
Once it was 3:30 we walked to Covent Garden (pendant ce temps Antoine, Jérémy, Fred, Solanne, Ariane, Astrid et Arthur Royer jouaient à chat-cul... fun), and had some free time to buy souvenirs, walk around the city, or just take pictures... as I was walking around, I saw a guy in a g-string juggling. I went to see what was going on, and he had a bowling pin and a rubber ball in his hands. He put them on the ground, asked a little kid called Nathan to come volunteer and stood in front of him. Then, the juggler took a chainsaw and turned it on, and started walking towards the little kid. The crowd didn't react, and the kid wasn't scared. He asked Nathan if he really wanted to cut off his head; he said no. He gave him £5 from his pocket (I call it a crotch pocket, haha), and started juggling a chainsaw, a bowling pin and a rubber ball. I swear, the guy could have killed himself.
6:30 pm. We hit the road back to the Waterloo station, took the train at 7:43 local time, and the 43 of us stayed together (seeing as they put all of us in 5 different coaches). We were tired from walking but had a great day out, came back at Gare du Nord at 11:30 pm, and everyone went back home safely.
